As long ago as 1996, PLÜMAT was the first company to integrate the production process Form Fill Seal into one infusion bag production line. Without any additional intermediate steps, filled and sealed bags are created in an automatic process. This procedure permits simple process control.

Alongside the low space requirement for the compactly designed machines and the associated stores in comparison with for example, glass bottles, the risk of particle contamination is considerably lower.

The PLÜMAT Form Fill Seal lines are primarily used for multi-layer film material, based, amongst others on polyolefins (e.g. PP, PE).
All types of standard commercial bag films can be processed.

One Form Fill Seal machine can produce up to 9,000 bags per hour. Bag sizes vary between 50 ml and 5,000 ml.
